Challenge:

Niswonger Children’s Hospital has the only pediatric-specific, 24-hour emergency department in the Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia region. We were asked to develop an awareness campaign promoting their team of pediatric specialists with immediate access to the right equipment to quickly and effectively treat children from birth to age 18.

Solution:

The “Kids and teens are unique. So is our team.” tagline was the foundation for all advertising. The creative featured kids, tweens, and teens and many of the likely scenarios that could require emergency services. Three award-winning 15-second TV spots with layered animation over b-roll focused on a few of the region’s most often treated types of emergencies such as asthma and orthopedic.

Results:

The three TV spots won Gold and Judge’s Choice Regional Addy Awards. We developed additional out of home, print, digital, and social media ads to highlight that the Children’s Emergency staff has full access to more resources including 20 subspecialists practicing at Niswonger Children’s Hospital, a Certified Child Life Specialist team, and additional services offered at Johnson City Medical Center.
